Awesome! This is a must-buy before my next trip there.

Well, as always, you talked me into it, BPO. Great trail descriptions!

Assuming decent weather. I'll try to walk the South Loop plus Wilderness Trail this weekend (Saturday and Sunday). It looks to be in excess of 33 miles, but I've made the 15-mile walk to Camp 6 in one day more than once. The Wilderness Trail isn't that difficult from Camp 6, and if I'm too tired after walking the 12 or 13 miles of the Wilderness Trail from Camp 6 to Camp 7. I'll just knock off at Camp 7 and get up early to walk the 4 -5 miles from Camp 7 to the trailhead on Monday. Ah, the glories of summer vacation!

Just took a close look at the new Shawnee trail descriptions, and they are excellent. I appreciate especially the changes based on the new bulldozings along the south loop. I really appreciate the Wilderness Trail descriptions. Couldn't find the hydrant on the WT the last (and only) time I walked it, but I feel pretty confident that I'll see it this weekend based on BPO's info.

Thanks, BPO!

Well, shoot. We're looking at damaging thunderstorms on Saturday. I may end up dayhiking Zaleski or Vesuvius on Sunday instead.

Ah, well . . .
